“Life of An Athlete”
Web portals will help coaches encourage drug-free lifestyles.
To help teach students about “Life of an Athlete,” Rick Lewis and the MHCFC have been working with Lamphere High School to develop a web portal utilizing materials from the Prevention Network, a nonprofit out of Lansing. Rick Lewis, together with Kimberly Heisler, created several web portals targeted at high school athletes. These web portal contain a wide variety of useful information for athletes regarding the development of their brains and the impact choices they make both on and off the field.
Click here to take a look at the web portal. Once there click on Lamphere Schools. If you would like to view the modules, contact MHCFC for a generic log-in and password.
Congratulations to “Team Kayla”! They were the LARGEST team registered at the Head For The Cure race in Detroit on September 6.
